Our Construction Management Team is looking for a talented established individual who has experience inspecting and managing water-related public infrastructure projects in the Denver - Fort Collins Area.


Psomas is a nationally recognized ENR firm delivering a suite of services including Construction Management, Engineering Design, Land Surveying, Environmental Permitting/Reporting/Monitoring, Landscape Architecture and Urban Design to a diverse array of private and public sector clients in the land development, transportation and water/wastewater markets. Our well-established Construction Management Group recently expanded to Colorado and is building a new Team to serve the Colorado market. You will be part of this unique challenge and enjoy the opportunities that come with this entrepreneurial push.

Construction Engineer

As we are in the early stages of establishing our local Team, we are looking for candidates with an adventurous mentality, excited to flexibly perform any tasks related to Construction Inspection, Engineering and Construction and Project Management as needed to grow our local practice. You will also be actively involved with developing and fostering client relationships to support our expansion into Colorado.


Responsibility Highlights for our Construction Engineer

  • Serve as part of a team to represent Owners overseeing, performing, and coordinating daily construction management activities to confirm the contractor's work is built in accordance with approved plans and specifications and done within budget and schedule
  • Resolve daily construction issues and lead interactions with clients, designers, contractors and regulatory agencies
  • Oversee field construction, contract administration, and manage staff and subcontractors
  • Facilitate project success by resolving issues fairly and effectively
  • Develop Client relationships, create connections within the industry and pursue future work

Minimum Qualifications to be our Construction Engineer

  • 5 years of experience with construction inspection and/or construction management for water and wastewater facilities, public works infrastructure and/or heavy civil projects
  • Knowledge of the construction process and the ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills including fluency with Microsoft programs and construction management software
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment and manage deadlines
  • Ability to work on an active construction site, including walking over uneven terrain, climbing ladders, crawling, stooping and entering confined spaces, being outdoors in inclement weather, wearing proper safety equipment, and practicing industry safety protocols

Preferred Qualifications to be our Construction Engineer

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
  • Colorado Professional Engineering (PE) License
  • Accreditation as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) through Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)
  • Industry certifications - for example Internation Code Council (ICC) and American Concrete Institute (ACI)
