Overview

We are looking for an IT Manager - Security, to join our team at our office in Mumbai (on site position)! As a Security Manager, you will play a critical role in safeguarding our organization's digital assets and information. Your primary responsibilities involve managing cybersecurity teams, identifying vulnerabilities, and implementing strategies to prevent cyber threats. You will collaborate with IT professionals, enforce security policies, and ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our systems. This role involves creating a vision for hiring, building processes, and developing the technology stack. A security manager will have significant experience with running a security team and will be able to provide both technical guidance and managerial oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor cybersecurity professionals.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the security team.
  • Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Leads the development of data security strategies and designs data security architecture for systems that aligns with Secure Data Strategy, embedding security into the overall approach and vision for data across the enterprise.
  • Develops and maintains data security solution and technology roadmaps for structured and unstructured data discovery, classification, protection, and data rights management on premise and in the Cloud.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents promptly.
  • Create and enforce cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO).
  • Educate employees on security best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to maintain and enhance security infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and encryption protocols.
  • Monitor network traffic for anomalies and security breaches.
  • Coordinate incident response efforts during security breaches.
  • Investigate incidents, assess impact, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Develop and test disaster recovery plans.
  • Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare reports for management and external auditors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in IT Security/support or related field
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Other relevant certifications have added value.
  • Detailed knowledge of Microsoft 365 Security, Defender for cloud apps or other CASB solutions.
  • Hands on experience in end user services applications including application security, End Point security, Data Security, SOX Audit, Risk Management, Exception Management, etc.
  • Strong in MDR, EDR, SIEM, SOAR, etc.
  • In dept architectural knowledge to design security systems and reduce exposure for cyber.
  • Familiarity with network security, encryption, and authentication protocols.
  • Understanding of cloud security (Azure, etc.).
  • Knowledge of threat intelligence and security frameworks.
  • Understanding of ITIL process, such as Incidents, Change & Problem management.
  • Experience in working in a global, process-driven organization.
  • Experience working with a geographically split organization and working in a multi-cultural environment.
