This is an onsite position (hybrid possible) in the Netherlands.

We are seeking an Accountant in our Pijnacker office! You will be responsible for the accounting operations of the company including the preparation of periodic financial reports. You will support in executing all financial-related activities and responsibilities and ensure that reported results comply with the US generally accepted accounting principles or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The team consists of our Regional European Controller, one (project) controller, and two accounting clerks. You will be responsible for assisting and day-to-day task allocation for the accounting clerks.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include

• Maintain an orderly accounting system and accounting filing system.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions and reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing timely and complete financial statements and reports.
• Ensure proper margin analysis.
• Supports the Operations team with financial information.
• Distribution of internal reports to the Affiliates.
• Assist Affiliates with any financial issues.
• Responsible for VAT and CBS declarations.
• Support the European Regional Controller with all departmental/financial matters.

Qualifications

• At least 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience in an international, industrial environment.
• Required experience with Dynamics AX 2012 or Dynamics 365
• Strong preference for experience with SOX controls
• Strong preference for proven track record working in a project organization (both Time & materials - and lumpsum contracts).
