JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a skilled and innovative commercial AV Design Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, specifying, and integrating audiovisual systems for commercial environments. You will work closely with clients, sales, project managers, and engineers to develop and implement AV solutions tailored to meet each client's unique needs.

WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess AV requirements and develop comprehensive design solutions.
  • Create detailed AV system designs, including schematics, equipment lists, and layout drawings.
  • Specify and recommend AV equipment, software, and control systems to meet project objectives.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance during project planning, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, client expectations, and budget constraints.
  • Work closely with the sales team to provide technical input and support during proposal development.
  • Stay updated on the latest AV technologies, trends, and industry best practices.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • 3+ years of experience in AV system design, integration, or a similar role.
  • Proficiency in AV design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, Visio, or similar).
  • Strong knowledge of AV equipment, including displays, projectors, audio systems, video conferencing, and control systems (e.g., Crestron, QSC, Biamp, Extron and others).
  • Familiarity with AV standards and certifications (e.g., AVIXA CTS, CTS-D preferred).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
