What You'll Do

As a Purchasing Agent, you will:

  • Manage Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong partnerships with suppliers to secure favorable terms, monitor performance, and address quality or delivery concerns.
  • Optimize Procurement Processes: Prepare RFQs, process purchase orders, and maintain accurate data in our ERP system.
  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with the Production, Quality, and Operational teams to align procurement activities with manufacturing needs and ensure seamless operations.
  • Drive Cost Efficiencies: Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining high standards for quality and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure Inventory Accuracy: Oversee inventory levels, analyze discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal stock.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Lead projects that enhance procurement processes, improve supplier performance, and streamline inventory management.

What You'll Bring

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in purchasing, preferably within large industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Expertise: Knowledge of manufacturing processes, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and quality standards. Certifications such as CSCP or CPSM are a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics AX or Dynamics 365.
  • Soft Skills: Strong organizational, analytical, and negotiation abilities, with a talent for building relationships and managing complex projects.
