General Job Description:
Oversee daily inventory management and logistics functions. Non-exempt. Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies.
Functional Requirements:
Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory. Duties include verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material and arranging for the transportation of products. May prepare items for shipment. Monitors inventory via an enterprise resource planning system or similar control system. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. Analyzes inventory procedures; recommends updates and improvements to logistics team. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualification Standards:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to five years of experience in a shipping warehouse or shipping logistics.
• Must have excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, customer service, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Extensive knowledge of DOT shipping regulations and procedures.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Proficiency with enterprise resource planning and computerized distribution systems.
• Post offer drug screen and signed acceptance of the Turner Industries, Ltd. Drug, Alcohol and Contraband Policy
• OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
• Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace
Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer; Working above, at, and below ground level; Reaching in all directions; Handling and manipulating objects and materials; Coordinating the movements of eyes, hands, and fingers to operate tools and equipment, Lifting 15 - 20 pounds from ground level, waist level, and or overhead; Carrying objects, tools, and equipment, etc.; Standing / Sitting; Walking; Seeing with or without correction; Wearing respirator and other PPE; Typing / Data Entry; Stepstool Use

Work Environment Factors:
• Location: industrial construction sites and office environment
• Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground levels; obstructed pathways
• Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: predominately indoor climate; may be exposed to various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
