As an equal opportunity employer, we are committed to building a diverse workforce and fostering an inclusive culture.

Position Summary:

Are you the person friends call when they need the perfect spot for a gathering? Do you thrive on creating memorable experiences for groups? Canopy Scottsdale Old Town is looking for a relationship-building superstar to drive our group sales forward!

As our Sales Enthusiast, you'll connect amazing people with our unique spaces, turning ordinary meetings into extraordinary experiences. You'll be the creative force behind bringing diverse groups to our vibrant Scottsdale location, building lasting partnerships and showcasing what makes the Canopy experience special.

This isn't just about meeting targets (though you'll crush those too) - it's about becoming an integral part of the Scottsdale community and the heartbeat of what makes Canopy a destination, not just a hotel.

If you're energized by creating connections and delivering experiences that exceed expectations, we should talk!

What You'll Do (Essential Responsibilities):

  • Actively prospect and secure group business across a variety of market segments, from social and SMERF to lifestyle and corporate.
  • Create and execute thoughtful, on-brand sales strategies that align with revenue goals and elevate our guest experience.
  • Be the face of Canopy Scottsdale-conduct property tours, host site visits, and represent the hotel at industry and community events.
  • Build genuine, long-term relationships with clients through clear communication, proactive problem-solving, and personal touches.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to flawlessly execute group events-from coordinating room blocks and BEOs to facilitating pre-con meetings and onsite logistics.
  • Ensure every event feels curated, memorable, and totally stress-free for the client.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and performance data to refine your approach.
  • Maintain detailed records of activities, forecasts, and client communication in CRM platforms.
  • Champion the Canopy culture-infusing every guest interaction with energy, care, and a passion for all things local.

What You Bring to the Table (Skills & Ability):

  • A natural talent for building connections through standout written and verbal communication
  • The strategic mindset to spot opportunities and create action plans that deliver results
  • Tech-savvy approach with Microsoft Office and Google Suite tools that keep your workflow smooth
  • The vision to craft guidelines that make sense and reports that tell the real story
  • Master juggler of priorities who thrives when balancing multiple projects
  • Self-starter energy with a knack for cracking tough problems through thoughtful analysis
  • Equally comfortable flying solo on projects or collaborating with our dynamic team
  • Cool under pressure - you're the steady presence when things get hectic
  • Bonus points if you've worked with hospitality CRM systems before

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of hospitality experience and 1 year of hospitality sales required.

Licenses & Certifications:

  • None required.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of hands for typing, writing, and handling documents.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 10 lbs.
  • Ability to walk or move between departments or meeting areas.
  • Must be able to clearly communicate and hear in typical office settings.

Work Environment:

  • Typical office/administrative setting with minimal exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimal to no travel required.
