BACKGROUND: Since 1952, Beacon Group has been creating opportunities for people with disabilities across Southern Arizona, Phoenix and beyond. As a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit, Beacon serves over 2,000 people with disabilities each year. Beacon provides job training and placement, supported and center-based employment, and day treatment programs to assist the more than two-thirds of working-age people with disabilities who do not have a job. POSITION INTRODUCTION: The Senior Supported Employment Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of the Group and Individual Supported Employment Programming at Beacon Group. The Senior Supported Employment Project Manager will plan, coordinate, organize, and oversee the day-to-day rehabilitation services operations of all assigned site locations. This position is responsible to ensure effective workflow and operations in conjunction with the Business Operations teams. This position is responsible for supervising a team of Lead Job Coaches and Program Managers to deliver high quality services to all stakeholders, but most importantly, the clients we serve.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work independently and effectively with little direction and use good judgment when making decisions.

  • Have excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Work flexible hours and schedules.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds unassisted.
  • Ability to tolerate environmental conditions, such as hot, cold, wetness, dust, noise, etc.
  • Ability to drive and travel independently to various sites.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to be flexible and work in a team environment.

Qualifications:

  • Five years or more supervisory experience
  • Five years or more experience in working with individuals with disabilities receiving services from Division of Developmental Disabilities.
  • Bachelor's degree in social science, related field, or at least 10 years of experience in working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Solid history of developing people, programs and businesses required.
  • Experience with government contracts is beneficial.
  • Experience managing quality control systems is highly beneficial.

WORK HOURS AND SCHEDULE: Evenings Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm
