DMBA (Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators) is a non-profit organization that administers benefits for companies who are owned or affiliated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The Administrative Assistant Intern plays an integral role in supporting the DMBA Hawaii Office team by coordinating and triaging participant, employer, and provider communication between our customer service, clinical, and financial service professionals.

Responsibilities include providing front line support on both calls and emails to coordinate schedules and timelines for enrollment, account setup, and financial appointment services. The intern will report to the Hawaii Operations manager, work directly with our customer service and clinical team members, and be expected to commit to 20 hours per week for a minimum of two semesters, with a one-year commitment preferred. This position pays $20.00 an hour.

Educational Requirements:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate program in the state of Hawaii preferred

Position Description:

  • Assist the Hawaii Office team throughout the enrollment, claims, and customer service processes from client/customer engagement to scheduling and office management
  • 20 hours per week for six months minimum (One year preferred)
  • Schedule is flexible around school schedule.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Speak with clients on the phone to provide excellent service, triaging customers, and schedule appointments.
  • Perform office management duties
  • Attend staff and training meetings as a full member of the team.
