Experience:

Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Lead Designer, the Designer (Engineer) is responsible for the execution of various design projects. He/she is responsible for overseeing the design and detail engineering of mechanical equipment and packaged systems related to industrial heating and filtration equipment. Candidate with process design experiences is preferred.
Job responsibilities:
· Review technical specifications.
· Prepare and manage design packages (vendor document list, design drawings, design reports, welding procedures,
and other required technical documentations).
· Proficient with Autodesk Inventor 2015 and AutoCAD 2015.
· Working knowledge in general engineering / manufacturing practices and standards, such as ISO, ASME.
· Working knowledge and experience with ASME BPVC, particularly Section VIII Div.1 is preferred.
· Knowledge with ASME BPVC Section III Div.1 NB, NC, ND, and NF is an asset.
· Working knowledge with Autodesk Vault is an asset.
· Working knowledge with COMPRESS and MathCAD is an asset.
· Prepare pressure vessel design reports and other required calculations.
· Provide engineering and technical support to various departments within the company in a timely manner.
· Prepare material lists, specification sheets, and detail fabrication drawings as needed.
· Maintain computer data files and document records.
· Design of small to large projects or several small projects simultaneously
· Interaction with customer (internal or external) representative on technical issues
· Create and review drawings using proprietary Thermon software or methodology
· Prepare and review drawings for accuracy
· Check and approve drawings prepared by other designers
· Review technical specifications; prepare, review, and approve engineering drawings, bills of materials, and other
engineering documentation.
· Provide technical support to Sales, Production, Purchasing, and Quality departments.
· Review updated codes and standards and assess the impact on existing product design.
· Ensure a safe workplace, including compliance with established safety laws, regulations, codes, policies, and
procedures.
Competences
· Proficient with Autodesk Inventor 2015 and AutoCAD 2015.
