Description

The overall purpose of the Corporate Equipment Billing Analyst position is to assist Project Management, Field Personnel and Accounting Management to ensure all client billings for equipment revenue are done timely, accurately and in accordance with the current contract terms.  Specifically, they are to ensure time entry has been performed on a monthly basis for all Turner equipment assigned to company jobs.  The analyst must have a working knowledge of equipment location, assignment and overall tracking for all company equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in the field of business, preferably in accounting or finance, is preferred. (3-5 years of experience in lieu of degree.)
  • Candidate must have experience working in Microsoft Office Suite with heavy emphasis in the usage of Microsoft Excel.  JD Edwards experience is a plus.
  • Candidate must have the ability to manage large workloads and meet set deadlines for accounting department month-end closing schedule.
  • Candidate must be organized detailed oriented and self sufficient in record keeping, and conduct his/her self in a professional manner.
  • Candidate must be capable of working with remote field personnel in the collection of cost and revenue data and explanations that help expedite client billing and prompt problem resolution.
  • The position allows for high autonomy.  Prospective candidate must be able to set tasks and prioritize the completion of set tasks.
  • Candidate must be highly analytical and confident in their ability to learn new processes and procedures due to the varying expectations of each of our clients.
  • Candidate must be able to work on projects as a team.  This role would involve an increased level of interaction.
  • Candidate must possess a working knowledge of maintaining several data base(s) for the equipment tracking process.
  • Candidate must possess an ability to work with managers and field personnel in a confident manner.

Daily Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Candidate must effectively communicate and work closely with other departments and field personnel to adequately track and maintain equipment assignments to compile data for time entry on all equipment company wide.

Employee must ensure all equipment cost are keyed timely, accurately and in accordance with the current contract terms, to ensure timely invoicing and accurately report job cost.

Candidate must possess a working knowledge of maintaining several data base(s) for the equipment tracking process and is responsible for setting up equipment accounting entries, equipment master setup, verification and maintenance of said data base(s) and entries as well as possess an understanding of Accounting and coding structures.

Candidate will work closely with and assist field personnel with technical issues involving equipment time entry, and assist in equipment time entry training to the field and satellite branches.

Candidate is responsible to efficiently research, report, and address any and all data entry to Accounting Management.

Candidate will work closely with and assist field personnel with process implementations involving the equipment time entry for the billing workflow.

Candidate must work well with Project Billing Analysts and offer assistance when a co-workers workload deems necessary.  Any other free time will be filled with special projects such as client audits, system conversions, etc.

Goals and Objectives:

  • Corporate Equipment Billing Analyst must aid in promoting open lines of communication between Corporate and Field personnel in regards to all Accounting functions.
  • Corporate Equipment Billing Analyst will work closely with and assist Project Managers and Project Controls in developing sound billing procedures for clients who have challenging billing requirements.
  • Corporate Equipment Billing Analyst must be able to effectively challenge every current procedures and consider alternatives for improvement.
  • Corporate Equipment Billing Analyst will work closely with and assist Billing Manager and the IT Department with the process implementations involving the billing workflow.
  • Corporate Equipment Billing Analyst will work closely with and assist Billing Manager and the IT Department to continue to strengthen billing compliance with corporate accounting procedures and processes company-wide.
  • Corporate Equipment Billing Analyst will work closely with all equipment yards and satellite offices to ensure all aspects of the billing process are adhered to and document all current procedures surrounding the entire equipment time entry and billing process.
  • Corporate Equipment Billing Analyst must assist in special projects such as client audits, system conversions, etc, as deemed necessary by management.
