THE OPPORTUNITY:
We're looking for a highly-organized, servant leader responsible for overall supervision and productivity of assigned custodial team members. Our team @ HQ works hard to keep our facilities in top-notch shape, and you'll help direct & guide this team to maintain cleanliness and safety across our facilities (we have a pretty good-sized campus in Detroit Lakes!). This role is pivotal in ensuring our workplace is not only efficient, but also fosters a positive environment for all custodial team members, and creates an environment perfectly fit for all!
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8a-4p
A Typical Day (job functions) | Monitor + Guide + Lead + Coordinate
- Ensure team members are appropriately trained in the areas of job responsibility, safety protocols, and company policy
- Motivate all team members to achieve personal and departmental success
- Monitor daily attendance and punctuality, keeping Workday updated and processing bi-weekly payroll sign-off procedures
- Conduct daily and weekly check-ins with the team and assess performance/attendance
- Conduct quarterly performance and yearly increase reviews with team members
- Manage and direct daily priorities
- Maintain Lakeshirts' acceptable standard of quality
- Follows safety practices. Identifies problems and works to resolve safety issues as they occur in accordance to OSHA standards
- Works actively with others in the department and company to achieve positive results
- Reports issues to Maintenance Manager
- Ability to lift 30-50 lbs frequently
- Other duties as assigned including special projects
Skills (qualifications) | Servant Leadership + Effective Communication + Rally the TEAM
- High school education or GED required
- Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred
- Strong coaching and mentoring skills with a track record of achieving results through teamwork
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral), problem resolution, sound judgment, pro-active, people-oriented, flexible, organized, diplomatic, strong listening skills, reliable, enthusiastic, courteous, and results-oriented
- Flexibility to adjust working hours, according to workload demands
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to work with deadlines and changing priorities
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, responsible, and receptive to feedback/direction
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks for several hours
- Train the Trainer Program completion is preferred, but not required
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced working environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Self-directed & self-motivated
- Ability to be on your feet 8-10 hrs/day
