THE OPPORTUNITY:

Lakeshirts is a rapidly growing $200M+ t-shirt company with an atmosphere like no other. We are seeking a committed, personable individual who enjoys driving change and sales growth, and has a passion for making waves in the resort apparel industry. This position is responsible for leading the resort sales team of 60 independent and company sales representatives, playing a pivotal role on our Blue 84 sales leadership team.

Understanding what it takes to sell unique product combinations, proficiency with data analytics, 5 or more years in sales and corporate sales management experience are all important qualifications for the gig. It would be a benefit if this manager lives near our headquarters in Minnesota; you really gotta see us to believe us, and boots on the ground at HQ helps team members embrace our creative, driven, collaborative culture.

A Typical Day (job functions) | Lead + Motivate + Create + Foster + Build + Drive Growth = Results

  • Establish and monitor sales territories, goals and progress of reps
  • Lead and motivate reps, as well as coach them on creative ways to problem solve
  • Develop and maintain systems to continually attract and onboard new reps
  • Collaborate on brand strategies, sales goals, line planning, operational needs and marketing initiatives
  • Create and foster relationships with reps, key buyers and store owners (WOW Our Customers)
  • Regularly deliver visible metrics on goals and sales progress to management team
  • Manage and grow new & existing sales funnel with reps
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape of the resort & souvenir apparel business
  • Entertain customers in various social settings, such as dinners and industry events
  • Attend trade shows to develop relationships and generate new leads
  • Lead annual sales meetings

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing or other related field preferred
  • Five or more years of successful sales experience building and managing customer relationships
  • Five or more years of sales management experience required; experience in corporate sales management preferred
  • Experience using technology, such as PowerPoint, Excel, and a CRM system (preferably Salesforce) to stay organized, efficient, and effectively track sales processes
  • The ability to proactively anticipate the needs of key accounts and ensure successful positioning
  • Welcoming of change, nimble, and open-minded; Continuous Improvement is one of our Core Values
  • Personable, friendly, energetic, humble, optimistic, and have a good sense of humor; all pretty crucial elements for a successful sales leader
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Willing and able to travel 40-50% of the time, based on business needs and seasonality
