Job Summary

The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing HR support to multiple branch locations in areas including recruiting, onboarding, benefits, HR Information System, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

  • Responsible for all employee life-cycle activities from recruitment to on-boarding through exit.
  • Arrange for advertising and/or posting job vacancies, and notify eligible workers of position availability, verify references to determine applicants' employment acceptability, arrange drug testing and background screening.
  • Maintain and provide support for the HR Information System (Workday) by uploading employee documents, ensuring employees complete all pending processes, running reports for data clean up and working on Workday Helpdesk tickets as assigned.
  • Notify Benefits Administrator of Child Support orders.
  • Provide support to the Construction Department by ensuring backgrounds and drug-screening records are up to date, employees are terminated in external portals in a timely basis as well as assisting with badge requests, training and other tasks as needed.
  • Ensure that random programs and driver's list are up to date and compliant.
  • Coordinate with benefit broker regarding escalated employee issues.
  • Provide assistance in employee relations, grievances and conflict resolution.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of employee appreciation events, wellness events, and team building events.
  • Assist with special HR projects as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related discipline preferred or Equivalent experience in years.
  • Minimum 1-3 years analyst and human resources experience in similar roles.
  • Experience in construction and/or EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) companies in oil and gas preferred.
  • Experience working with external background portals (DISA, First Advantage, Pinkerton, Vector, HR Screening) preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
  • Knowledge of applicable country employment, labor and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with various HR Information Systems (Workday experience is a plus).
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Must be able to travel domestically -/+ 10%, mostly within the US.
