Job Description: Works under the direction of a foreman, performs radiographic inspections and assures film quality is acceptable.
Functional Requirements:
Read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift; minimum of 200 hours of on the job training and passing the radiographer exam to acquire the state industrial radiographer card; develops an understanding and working knowledge of the company quality control program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc; required to perform assigned work; knowledge of state regulations for boundaries and radiation safety for source containment; has successfully completed all studies and test including the ASNT RT Level 2 internal testing; has met both C and B requirements, ability to work full time without supervision and accuracy on all jobs; maintains a clean and safe work environment at all times.
Qualification Standards:
1) Certified industrial radiographer preferred
2) 40 hours radiation safety course
3) 200 hours on the job training
4) Preferably one (1) to two (3) years of experience in specified skill
5) Pre-employment qualification test if applicable
6) Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation
7) Hazard Communication orientation/test
8) Turner Industries group indoctrination
9) OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)
10) Job site orientation
11) Job site "Personal Protective Equipment" requirements
12) Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others at the workplace
Physical Involvement:
Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and/or overhead; carrying objects, tools equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction..

a.) Location: Fabrication Shop
b.) Mobility Barriers to Access Job Site: uneven ground levels; obstructed pathways; work performed at low and/or high elevations; work performed in confined areas
c.) Climatic/Environmental Conditions at Job Site: indoor/outdoor climate; may be exposed to extreme hot or cold weather, excessive humidity, rain, etc.; various noise levels caused by tools, machinery, equipment, etc.; potential exposure to chemical substances
