We are seeking a Lead Planner to join our team in Pasadena, TX area. The Planner position prepares complete estimates for assigned project(s) and determines project plans and specifications. Non-exempt role; Reports to Planning Supervisor or Foreman; Performs a variety of routine duties within established policies. As a mechanical Planner you will need relevant experience with equipment, piping, structural steel and light civil. Your responsibilities may include walking down job scope requests, estimating labor hours for multiple disciplines, developing work plans, and creating job plan packages. The candidate may be asked to plan Maintenance, Turnarounds, Small Capital Projects, or a combination of the three.

Scope Definition and Coordination; gather and define the scope of work in coordination with stakeholders; coordinate the scope screening process with various trades; develop detailed work plans, including job tasks, resource allocation, and material reservations; coordinate with different trades to ensure comprehensive and integrated work packages; implement safety plans, including job hazard analysis (JHA), risk assessments, and rescue plans; track the status of materials and services from ordering to delivery; develop and integrate work schedules, considering operational shutdowns and startup activities; monitor work execution, compare actual progress to the plan, and update the schedule accordingly; coordinate with process safety and operations teams to review mechanical completion and pre-startup safety reviews (PSSR) before startup
