Description

We are seeking a Design Engineer with a passion for design and a background in mechanical or electrical engineering. As a key player on our team, you will be instrumental in delivering quality-engineered products that meet and exceed our customers' expectations.

This is an onsite role in our Salt Lake City office.

What You Will Do:

  • Design custom heated blankets, providing reliable and effective solutions to customer problems.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and thermal calculations to assess design feasibility and cost estimation.
  • Offer technical sales support, acting as a bridge between engineering and customer needs.
  • Communicate with customers and sales team to ensure product conformity and satisfaction.
  • Review and interpret drawings, models, and specifications to prepare preliminary designs and cost estimates.
  • Coordinate design engineering activities, ensuring scope, design, cost, and quality align with company standards.
  • Create and manage engineering deliverables in line with project scope and timelines.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of technical documents and direct necessary revisions to support manufacturing processes.
  • Uphold quality system procedures, industry standards, and safety regulations throughout the design and production stages.
  • Develop final designs by gathering information, conducting research, and performing experiments to resolve specific design challenges.
  • Achieve company objectives by leveraging your deep knowledge of our product lines and maintaining strong communication with sales teams and customers.
  • Evaluates products and new product designs by designing and conducting comprehensive testing plans; applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and materials to ensure top-notch quality and performance.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • 0-2 years of design engineering, professionally or school projects/capstone.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in calculating design feasibility.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting.
