ABOUT KNEADERS

Kneaders Bakery & Cafe began as a small shop in Orem, Utah in 1997 serving traditional, European bread made with three simple ingredients. We have since branched out across multiple states and expanded our menu to include sandwiches, hearty soups, refreshing salads, and dozens of handmade pastries, all made from scratch with honest, whole ingredients. We care about people, and our foundation is built on charity and giving back to our communities. Our bakeries have helped with alleviating hunger, supporting schools, and leading fundraisers for children's hospitals. Every September, our entire company as a whole joins with the Huntsman Cancer Institute to fight childhood cancer.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEAD PASTRY CHEF

As a Pastry Chef, you are a critical part of the daily baking and decorating in the kitchen. You work with a small team of 3-4 members daily and make sure all orders are fulfilled. Baking is your passion, and you spend each shift baking over 40 fresh pastries, pies, cakes, and muffins with honest, whole ingredients. You are always sure to help keep the display case well-stocked daily and filled with the beautiful creations you make in the bakery's kitchen.

Your work can be strenuous and involves lifting large amounts of dough, flour, and other supplies that can sometimes weigh more than 50 lbs. But, as someone who enjoys being active, you take it all in stride! Being able to adapt to change is crucial, and you often find yourself juggling multiple tasks and keeping an eye on the oven! HEAD PASTRY CHEF QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years of experience working quickly to bake and decorate amazing pastries (not required, we are willing to train!)
  • Ability to comply with local, state, & federal food handler & sanitation standards
  • At least 18 years of age

HEAD PASTRY CHEF WORK SCHEDULE

This position typically works 5 days a week from 5am to 10/11am with no Sunday shifts.

The holidays are our busiest season so you must be able to work the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve.
