Corrections Trainee / Corrections Officer

Performs a variety of entry level certified or non-certified duties related to the security, safety, order, operation and maintenance of county jail facilities including detention and monitoring of inmates.

Full-Time, with Benefits

Corrections Trainees start at $18.00 per hour, increase to $20.00 per hour once certified (typically within the first 8-12 months of employment)

Certified Officers start at $20.00 per hour (Utah POST (Peace Officer Standards Training): SFO (Special Functions Officer) and BCO (Basic Correctional Officer).

Hours: Various/on-call to include holidays, nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Graduation from High School or GED.
2. Must be at least 21 years of age by 3/1/2022.

Candidates MUST attend ONE of the Testing and Interview Days to be considered:

• Thursday, November 18, 2021
• Saturday, November 20, 2021

PT Requirements:

• Run 1.5 miles in 16:11
• 14 push-ups (continuous exercise)
• 23 sit-ups in one minute
