Job Summary:

The Maintenance Supervisor at Homestead Resort is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of the hotel resort, ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and amenities are in excellent working condition. This role involves managing a team of maintenance staff, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee routine and preventive maintenance of all hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems.
  • Ensure timely response to maintenance requests and work orders from guests and other departments.
  • Manage and maintain the inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hotel policies.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities do not disrupt hotel operations.
  • Communicate effectively with guests, addressing their maintenance-related concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Assist the Facilities Manager in developing and managing the maintenance budget.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate or bachelor's degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management, preferably in a hotel or resort setting.
    • Previous supervisory or management experience required.
  • Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
    • Knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural.
    • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
    • Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoors and confined spaces.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
