Description

The Resort Marketing Manager is responsible for implementing a holistic marketing strategy via online and offline marketing tactics to drive revenue performance and enhance the guest experience for the property and all outlets. This position is responsible for oversight of the resort's digital presence and experiential storytelling.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Develop and execute the annual resort marketing roadmap and effectively communicate performance of initiatives to key stakeholders
  • Deliver best-in-class digital presence for the property and all outlets through strategy and execution of experiential storytelling, content management, visual assets, merchandising and revenue-generating tactics
  • Act as brand guardian and liaison for overall resort brand and sub-brands ensuring brand integrity of all guest-facing messaging, collateral, content, etc.
  • Lead the collaboration with resort operations in the development and execution of resort and outlet programming
  • In partnership with property leadership and Corporate Commercial Strategy Team, develop the annual resort business plan and marketing budgets
  • Collaborate with property revenue team to develop and implement promotional and seasonal strategies
  • Provide oversight of paid media agency to ensure full delivery of scope of services and optimal performance to drive topline revenue
  • Lead weekly and ad-hoc marketing meetings with resort disciplines to align on marketing strategies and execution
  • Provide strategic oversight of social media agency to ensure successful execution of social media and influencer marketing program; ensure all deliverables are completed
  • Review and approve all social media content calendars to ensure brand voice + property messaging
  • Participate in revenue strategy meetings to align on topline revenue strategies
  • Attend all onsite resort marketing and public relations events
  • Strategic execution of comprehensive email marketing program using the property's CRM and email marketing platform
  • Work directly with branding agency partner to ensure development and implementation of property's brand strategy across all consumer-facing touchpoints
  • Create and maintain content on resort and outlet website(s)
  • Maintain and optimize content on online travel agencies (OTAs) and third-party listings for consistency including but not limited to Expedia, Booking.com, TripAdvisor, Yelp, Yext, etc.
  • Manage internal resources, external partners and vendors to ensure delivery of best-in-class service and performance
  • Communicate key marketing metrics and reports to hotel teams, corporate leadership and stakeholders
  • Contribute to owner presentations to effectively communicate marketing performance and deliverables
  • Maintain and frequently update the property's marketing plan
  • Ownership of all visual assets including but not limited to photography, video and rich media
  • Oversees agency partners on execution of marketing strategies including but not limited to SEO, paid media, email marketing, social media, branding and graphic design, public relations, etc.
  • Track task updates, statuses, due dates and project details in Company project management system
  • Maintains a professional appearance in accordance with Company and assigned hotel brand standards; wears the appropriate attire
  • Maintains open and effective communication with team members and leadership
  • Attends and participates in team meetings as assigned
  • Adheres to established safety and emergency procedures and protocols, this includes Company, federal, and state specific regulations and guidelines
  • Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned
  • Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum five (5) years of experience in onsite resort marketing, public relations or related field required.
  • Experience with marketing technologies and systems such as email marketing, CRM, content management, digital asset management.
  • Experience with reporting platforms such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics and global brand reporting systems.
  • No supervisory experience required.

This position requires the capability to understand and follow both oral and written directions, as well as knowledge and usage of correct business English and office practices. Must be able to communicate effectively with others, analyze and resolve problems, maintain effective working relationships, and interact successfully with internal and external customers.

  • Strong knowledge of paid media, social media and SEO management
  • Solid understanding of marketing and ecommerce hospitality trends
  • Computer proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Understands how to develop and implement business strategies
  • Ability to interpret and create policies, procedures, and manuals

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

  • 10% travel required.
