Kids On The Move (KOTM) is seeking entry-level Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians to join our supportive and collaborative team in providing applied behavior analysis therapy to over 100 children and teens with autism throughout Utah.
What does a Behavior Technician do?
Behavior Technicians (BTs) provide applied behavior analysis (ABA) therapy to children and teens with autism. ABA therapy often feels like play to the child while BTs embed behavior change science into the session to increase skills across many domains such as language, play, attention, social skills, and daily living skills, as well as decrease problem behaviors. BTs will receive ongoing supervision and training from our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) as they learn to work with each individual client to implement their therapy goals.
Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent. Candidates with bachelors degree qualify for higher pay!
Training and Sign-On Bonus:
After accepting a job offer, we will connect you with an online training course as the first step in becoming a Registered Behavior Technician. This course will take 40 hours and is completed online at your own pace prior to your assigned start date. Committing to your assigned start date is very important for the families of the clients you will be working with after your training. You will be able to select from our available start dates once you accept the job offer and receiving the full sign-on bonus is contingent upon keeping the committed start date. Once you gain the 40-hour training course certificate and have met all other conditions of employment, you will receive your first bonus pay out of $250 in cash on your date of hire. From your start date, you will receive paid training at $15/hour to help you earn your Registered Behavior Technician certification. Once you obtain your credential, usually at 2 months post hire, you will receive your second bonus pay out of $250 and will be moved to the post-training pay rate specified in your job offer.
Those who already hold an active RBT credential receive $250 on their date of hire and $250 upon completion of KOTM training, about 3-4 weeks. Current RBT's also receive their standard pay upon date of hire.
Those who are unable to meet their committed start date, and start later than originally intended, will receive a total of $400 sign on bonus (2 payments of $200 as described above).
Work Schedule:
We offer ABA therapy sessions Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 6:30 PM but may be as early as 8 AM or as late as 7 PM.
Schedule arrangements for the school year and summer accommodate increased availability for families and students during the summer months.
