Job Title: The Lookout & Concessions Supervisor ( Age 21+)

Department: F&B

Reports To: Lookout & Concessions Seasonal Manager

Rate of Pay: $18.00/hr +Tips

Shift: Part-time Seasonal position

Variable AM/PM shifts Sunday through Saturday

Weekends and holidays required

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly


SUMMARY

Responsible for creating an exceptional Sundance experience by providing consistent, friendly, professional, and timely service of food and beverages at The Lookout, Summer Theater concessions & Barbeque, and Mountain events. This position is seasonal, shifts start/end for winter season November/April, shifts start/end for summer season May/October.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and direct employees during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure compliance with company rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Document guest and employee incidents accurately.
  • Conduct employee inspections for uniform, cleanliness, and identification.
  • Hold daily line-ups to update employees on procedures.
  • Promote teamwork and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide courteous and friendly service to guests, vendors, and employees.
  • Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and service recovery when necessary.
  • Serve food and beverages, ensuring quality and consistency.
  • Maintain full knowledge of menu items and ingredients.
  • Use the Point of Sale system to relay orders to the kitchen.
  • Perform side work and assist with cleaning and resetting tables.
  • Stay informed on resort events and operational hours.

Product Quality:

  • Ensure beverages are prepared consistently and to company standards.
  • Adhere to recipes and maintain high-quality product presentation.

Alcoholic Beverages:

  • Understand and comply with Utah laws on alcohol service.
  • Responsibly serve alcoholic beverages and complete related paperwork.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain work areas, reporting maintenance needs as required.
  • Stock items and wear the appropriate uniform as specified.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Submit applicable paperwork to HR in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent training.
  • Obtain food handler's permit and Tips & Sips alcohol service permit within 30 days of hire.
  • Pass UDABC background check and complete fingerprinting.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly lift/move up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand, walk, reach, and talk frequently.
