We are currently recruiting for an Assembler/Welder

Overview

As a Vinyl Welder Operator, you will be responsible for operating the welder to create a seal between vinyl materials, enclosing blankets while adhering to takt time schedules. Your primary duties include obtaining the correct vinyl, operating the welder machine, performing test welds, and ensuring correct logo placement. Additionally, you'll update schedules accordingly and assist other areas when ahead on the schedule.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities include

  • Obtain the correct vinyl materials required for welding.
  • Verify insulation work ensuring the correct graphite and insulation are used.
  • Operate welder machine efficiently.
  • Apply appropriate settings on the welding machine.
  • Conduct test welds to ensure quality.
  • Verify correct logo placement on blankets.
  • Update schedules using color code based on performance.
  • Assists other areas if ahead on the schedule.
  • Complete any other tasks assigned by management or Production Floor Manager.

Key Characteristics, Competencies and Skills

  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings.
  • Comfort with performing repetitive tasks.
  • Proficiency in filling out manufacturing documentation.
  • Competence in using various hand tools.
  • Ability to maintain takt time schedules.
  • Must be able to understand and communicate in English.

Physical Demands

  • Transporting blankets as needed.
  • Standing for extended periods (9+ hours).
  • Lifting loads weighing up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • High School and or trade school is a plus but not required.
  • One year of related experience in a fast-paced business environment is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.
