Manufacturing Engineer II
The Manufacturing Engineer II will be responsible for working with manufacturing, maintenance, and quality personnel on a daily basis to review / disposition production defects and provide potential process and/or equipment corrective actions to ensure production schedules and quality expectations are met.
What you will be doing:
The Manufacturing Engineer II will be responsible for reviewing manufacturing equipment and processes for potential improvement using statistical data and analysis of equipment condition then effectively manage change projects. They will lead improvement projects by performing engineering studies and design of experiments related to existing manufacturing processes. They will need to view and optimize existing tooling designs used in manufacturing equipment by using Creo, Solidworks and /or AutoCad applications. The Manufacturing Engineer will also collaborate with toolmakers to determine critical measurements defining tooling failure, enabling data-driven improvements to enhance tooling performance and reliability. They will create and update product specifications for documentation and BOM creation, prepare and execute process development, validation protocols, and reports to support the implementation of new and upgraded equipment, and support new process development, product quality improvement, and integration projects. They will also need to maintain excellent communications with Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, Safety and Planning departments on an as needed basis.
What we expect from you:
A Bachelors degree and a minimum of 2 years equivalent experience are required. They need to have the ability to read and comprehend detailed written and verbal instructions i.e.: assembly instructions, test procedures, engineering drawings, schematic and other engineering documentation. They need to have professional, clear verbal and written communication. Preferably they have experience in validation (IQ/OQ/MSA/PQ) in a medical device environment. and knowledge of GD&T and problem-solving tools: MINITAB, SIX SIGMA, DOE, GR&R, CAPA, DMAIC. Ability to use Solid Works, mechanical fabrication abilities, Altium Designer PCB layout skills are a plus.
