Job Title: Groundskeeper
Location: Homestead Resort & Golf Club, Midway, Utah
Employment Type: Full-Time (Regular)
The Groundskeeper is essential in ensuring that Homestead Resort's outdoor environment remains immaculate, inviting, and safe for every guest. You will preserve our historic resort's lush landscapes and contribute directly to a guest experience that reflects over a century of tradition and luxury. Your meticulous attention to detail helps create an atmosphere where history and modern comfort seamlessly coexist.
Lawn and Landscape Care:
Perform daily tasks including mowing, edging, and trimming to maintain pristine lawns.
Cultivate and care for flower beds-planting, mulching, and weeding to enhance curb appeal.
General Maintenance:
Inspect and clear walkways, driveways, and guest areas of trash, debris, and obstacles.
Regularly monitor irrigation systems and promptly report or resolve issues.
Equipment Operation:
Operate and maintain landscaping equipment (mowers, trimmers, etc.) safely, following proper protocols.
Project Support:
Assist with ongoing construction and renovation projects, ensuring the outdoor environment remains orderly and safe.
Safety Protocols:
Adhere to all company safety guidelines, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and emergency procedures.
Participate in scheduled safety drills and training sessions.
Training Opportunities:
Comprehensive on-the-job training provided for equipment operation, safety measures, and seasonal maintenance practices.
Ongoing support from a dedicated team to help you quickly adapt to the role.
Work Environment:
Entirely outdoor role, with exposure to all weather conditions-from extreme heat to cold.
Work on natural grounds, which may include uneven surfaces.
Physical Requirements:
Regular physical tasks such as bending, twisting, and heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
Continuous walking or standing for extended periods is required.
Frequent reaching overhead and low to the ground.
Experience:
Previous landscaping or maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
On-the-job training will be provided.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and effectively.
Basic maintenance skills with a keen eye for detail.
Preferred: Bilingual in English and Spanish to enhance communication within our diverse team and with guests.
