We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer/Planner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills. This role is vital to ensuring efficient planning and coordination of procurement processes that align with business needs and objectives.

What you will be doing:

Production Planning:

The Buyer/Planner will be in charge of planning, scheduling and coordinating production of the company's product; and collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to align material procurement with production schedules, and analyze production needs, and plan the procurement and delivery of materials in line with production timelines. They will ensure timely and accurate reporting of material status to relevant departments. They buyer planner will participate and lead discussions with internal customers around delivery schedules and identify risks that may affect supply, delivery, and customer demand and set mitigation plans. They buyer/planner will work with supply chain manager to drive S&OP meetings with stakeholders on a weekly/monthly basis to provide necessary visibility to the business and support the site S&OP. They will need to be able to calculate efficiency, utilization, and productivity, and support new product introduction activities as required.

Procurement:

The Buyer/Panner will negotiate component cost, tooling costs, MOQ, lead times, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers in alignment with global supply chain strategy. They will evaluate bid responses, negotiate price, delivery schedules, and place purchase orders in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and government regulations. They will utilize the ERP to procure materials for manufacturing production inventory consistent with quality, delivery, and cost expectations, and evaluate and manage vendor performance to ensure on time deliveries and adherence to quality specifications. The buyer/planner will have active involvement in the Supplier Selection Process to develop a supply base that provides competitive advantage in quality, value, delivery, and technology. They will evaluate new vendors and requests required information in support of setting up new vendors on the Approved Vendor List (AVL). Finally, they will review, collect and record initial component and supplier compliance such as REACH, ROHS, SVHC, and PROP 65 and validate supplier capability and align critical component supply with program ramp-up schedules for new product.

What we expect from you:

Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Planning or related field and 2-4 years of professional experience in procurement, supply chain, and planning. Experience in an FDA-regulated medical device company is preferred. They will have proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems. They will need to be able to interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and technical reports.

This candidate must have excellent communication skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with the ability to drive achievement of objectives. They should have knowledge of materials requirements planning (MRP) and inventory management programs.
